Microfine Cement

Cement grouts suitable for pressurised soil permeation injection are typically termed or branded as Microfine, Superfine, Microcem, Ultrafin and Ultrafine. There are many different types of permeation cement grouts and manufacturers. Some are designed for varying types of void filling; others are designed for differing degrees of soil permeation.

Microfine Structure

As the names suggest microfine cements consist of incredibly fine cement particles. These cements are milled in special ball mills to a specified fineness termed as “blain fineness”. Only grouts with a specified blain and additive are suitable for concentrated pressurised soil permeation. Generally the finer and highest quality grouts are the best performers and are typically the most expensive.

Selecting the correct product for the intended work and soil conditions is paramount to achieving the desired engineering outcome. Fondex only uses the highest quality ultrafine grouts available. Water and special additives are added to the cement grout mix ratio’s in accordance with the sites ground conditions and the ambient temperatures at the time of installation.

Instant Microfine Grout Supplies are exclusive Australian importers and distributors for a number of these products.
